YouTube Shorts has become a great way to watch short-form videos nowadays. Now a new and useful feature has been added to this video platform which is Google Lens. This feature will help you identify things appearing in any YouTube Short video and get more information about them.
What can you do with Google Lens?
Now you can search for anything appearing in a short video, such as text, object, or place, with the help of Google Lens. If you want, tap on that thing or draw a circle on the screen and Google Lens will show information about that thing. This feature is especially useful for videos that do not contain shopping or affiliate content.
How to use Google Lens in YouTube Shorts?
Open the YouTube app on your phone and tap on the Shorts tab below.
While watching a video, tap on the screen to pause it.
Tap on the Lens icon visible above.
You have to accept the Terms & Conditions on first use.
You can now search for objects or text on the screen by tapping, highlighting, or circling them.
If the video contains text in an unknown language, you can translate it by tapping the Translate button at the bottom right of the screen.
After using Lens, you can close it by tapping the X button at the top left or swiping down.
