Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 18 (ANI): Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday extended wishes to everyone on Dhanteras and Diwali, sharply criticising the Yogi administration, labelling it a "futility government" and adding, "Do not expect electricity from it."
Addressing a gathering, SP Chief said, "This is a futility government. Don't expect electricity from it. The state of the state is such that Lucknow is experiencing traffic jams everywhere, yet it is being called a smart city."
He further remarked that an FIR should be filed against the official who declared Lucknow the third-smartest city. "There is so much garbage and traffic in the city. They spend crores of rupees but still cannot manage the traffic," he added.
Akhilesh Yadav criticized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's role in the Bihar elections, saying he is creating divisions rather than campaigning. He accused the NDA government of spreading hate, holding negative views, and trying to exclude a group of citizens.
On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party's star campaigner Yogi Adityanath entered Bihar's election battlefield, addressing rallies in support of BJP's Ramkripal Yadav (Danapur) and NDA's Shyam Rajak (Phulwari Sharif).
Launching a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress alliance, he accused them of derailing Bihar's growth by fueling divisive "development versus burqa" politics.
"Those who once pushed Bihar into Jungle Raj are again trying to mislead people," Yogi said, warning voters against "fake polling" and alleging that RJD-Congress wanted to return to the era of ballot snatching and fraudulent voting. He said these parties oppose EVMs because they fear transparent elections.
The Chief Minister reminded the crowd of Bihar's dark years between 1990 and 2005, saying that under RJD-Congress rule, "the land of knowledge became a hub of crime and dynasty politics." He accused them of sheltering mafias and driving Biharis to migrate in search of livelihood. (ANI)
