Eating many things is beneficial in summer, and one of them is Sattu. Sattu is rich in protein. Although Sattu is easily available in the market, most people prefer to prepare it at home. It is good for the body in whatever form it is consumed. Sattu plays an important role in reducing fat and controlling BP. We are going to tell you how to make Sattu Barfi. It is one of the ready-to-eat snacks. You can try this recipe when you have time. It is also known as a protein bar. It can be served hot or after it cools down. If you want, you can take it as an evening snack with tea or coffee in the evening. Apart from this, consume it whenever you feel weak during the day.
Ingredients
200 grams gram dal
120 grams of ghee
120 grams sugar powder
Chopped almond pieces
Saffron
Cardamom powder
Method
- Take a clean gram dal in a bowl and lightly roast it on medium flame. Roast it till it becomes golden brown and a mild aroma comes from it.
- Now let it cool down. After the roasted gram dal or roasted gram dal cools down, take it in a mixer jar and grind it to make a fine powder. Sattu flour is ready.

- Take finely ground gram dal powder or sattu in a bowl. Add sugar powder to it and mix it well. Now add ghee on top and mix all the ingredients.
- Knead the mixture well, like flour. When your dough is completely ready, spread it on a plate. Before spreading it on the plate, apply a layer of ghee on the bottom.
- Now add cardamom powder on top and garnish it by adding chopped almond pieces and saffron.
- Let the barfi cool for 30 minutes and cut it into square shapes and serve. If you want, you can cut it into any desired shape and serve it.
