Indore: IMC Demolishes 3 Dilapidated Buildings To Prevent Accidents

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Continuing its drive to ensure public safety, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) demolished three dilapidated buildings on Thursday at separate locations. This action is part of the corporation’s ongoing campaign to identify and remove dangerous structures across the city to prevent potential accidents.

The demolition was carried out in Zone No 12, where IMC teams, along with JCB machines and full staff, took action at three sites. Buildings belonging to Sheetal Binda in Murai Mohalla, Rafique Ruby Baswala in Chandrabhaga, and Ram Gulam Hardia in Juni Indore were found to be structurally unsafe and were razed. Officials stated that these buildings had been in a dilapidated condition for years, posing serious risks to nearby residents.

Before starting demolition, movement in the surrounding areas was restricted as a precaution. The buildings were safely brought down using JCB machines. The Municipal Corporation has prepared a list of such risky structures and will continue the removal process in phases.

Meanwhile, in a separate action in Zone No. 18’s Loha Mandi area, officials seized nearly 200 kg of illegal single-use plastic from a logistics godown. A fine of ₹25,000 was imposed on the operator for violating environmental regulations.
