James Martin has posted a touching message to television viewers in a fresh video following his disappointment at this year's National Television Awards.
The celebrity chef's ITV programme, Saturday Morning, received a nomination in the Daytime category at this year's NTAs, which took place on 10 September at The O2 Arena in London.
James' culinary show made the shortlist alongside This Morning, Loose Women and Scam Interceptors, however This Morning claimed the gong.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone that voted at the NTAs. What a special night," James told his followers in the footage posted to his Instagram profile.
"Congrats to This Morning winning Best Daytime. It was amazing to be shortlisted in the final four."

James appeared hard at work in a kitchen during the video, with the television personality wearing a striped apron whilst revealing he had returned to "the day job".
"But back to the routine. Back to the day job. Thank you to everybody that's voted. Thank you!" he wrapped up his social media post.
Supporters rushed to offer their backing, with one commenting: "Winning next year! ! ! !" whilst another wrote: "Same time again next year James. You're the best to us all, don't forget that."
A third admirer remarked: "You're welcome - be back again next year," and another person noted that Saturday Morning is the first cookery programme to receive a nomination in the NTAs' Daytime category, emphasising how "amazing" the show is.
James graced the National Television Awards on Wednesday evening with his girlfriend Kim Johnson, making a striking pair on the red carpet, reports the Express.
James embarked on a relationship with Kim, a personal trainer, following his break up from long-term girlfriend Louise Davies. He and Louise, a TV producer, were an item since 2011 but parted ways in 2023.
On the other hand, Kim was once wedded to Arun Nayar, Elizabeth Hurley's former spouse, but they called it quits in 2017.
Catch James Martin's Saturday Morning on ITV1 every Saturday at 9.30AM.
