A teenage girl has tragically died after becoming unwell at a major music festival in the UK.
The teen was attending the Emerge Festival at Boucher Playing Fields in Belfast, Northern Ireland, when she fell ill. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said two more people fell ill at the festival - a woman in her 30s and a teenage boy - and both of them remain in hospital. The woman is in a serious but stable condition, while the boy has received treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

As reported by Belfast Live, a PSNI spokesperson said: "Police attended a report of the sudden death of a girl aged in her late teens on Sunday, 24th August, who died in hospital after becoming unwell at an event in south Belfast. Additionally, two people remain in hospital after taking ill at the same event.
"A woman aged in her 30s is in a serious but stable condition at this time, while a boy aged in his teens received treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding all reports are ongoing."
Back in June, a young man tragically died after attending the Margate Drum & Bass Festival at Dreamland inKent. "It was just too hot day," Dreamland said in a post on X after temperatures in Margate hit 28C on June 28. "We had to close early. Get home safely."
It later emerged that a medical incident was reported at the site. A councillor sent a note to all members of Thanet District Council by the authority's chief executive Colin Carmichael to confirm a man, aged 21, died after being taken to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (QEQM) Hospital.
Speaking to Kent Online, the councillor said the note read: "Very sadly, a 21-year-old man was taken by blue light services from Dreamland and died at QEQM (Hospital). We understand that medical advisers approved the medical provisions set up by Dreamland for this event, but of course, police will carry out a proper investigation."
