It's doesn't matter what you're shopping for - a bargain is a bargain. That's exactly what one woman came to learn when she struck gold in a charity shop after casually searching through its handbag section. She came across a $2 (£1.50) Gucci bag and presumed it was a good fake considering it had beendonated to a good cause.
However, when she took it home, she came to learn it was not only real - but there was another surprise waiting for her inside it. Taking to Reddit, she said: "Yesterday I uploaded a Gucci bag found at a thrift store, this note was left inside it. Also discovered the bag is from 1973."
She came across a handwritten note inside the bag written by a "recently retired" woman called Shelia.
It reads: "This purse is a real - not a knock off Gucci purse. Please enjoy it and with it comes a complimentary hair cut and blow dry if you're a victim of Auburn fire."
Speaking about the discovery, she added: "The thrift stores around me don’t usually sell things for crazy expensive.
"I don’t live in an area where people would typical donate Gucci bags. They honestly probably didn’t even notice.
"I live in California, we had a wild fire in Auburn last year, which is why she is offering hair cuts to people affected by the Auburn fires, maybe to just help them feel better if they lost their home or something.

"She gave a phone number of some friend of hers who'd take care of the Gucci purse new owner's hair upon mentioning/presenting this card."
Commenting on her post, one user said: "She probably just wants to know the purse went to someone who's appreciate it and this was her way of trying to figure out who got it."
Another user added: "Oh wow, that’s so cool! I almost want to start doing the same thing, just to meet the people that find my things.
"Maybe you should give her a call just to say hi? It’s clear that she wants to know who ended up finding her bag, and what a story it would be for her to know that you found it so far away? So sweet and gorgeous bag!"
A third user said: "I inherited that same bag in black from my aunt. Looks legit."
One more user added: "My guess was this purse was donated to victims of a fire and the person donating wanted to also offer a free hair appointment to the struggling family."
A final user said: "A volunteer haircut. She can be retired but still giving cuts on her own time for free."
