If this happens to you too, then this article can prove to be of great use to you. Here we are telling you some special tips to get rid of this problem.
Actually, famous Ayurvedic doctor Salim Zaidi has shared a video on his YouTube channel regarding the matter. In this video, he has shared these tips. Let's know about them-
What do the experts say?
In the video, the Ayurvedic doctor explains, if you have to get up every night and urinate every few minutes, then there can be many reasons behind this. Such as excessive water or caffeine consumption, urinary tract infection (UTI), diabetes, enlarged prostate, bladder weakness or hormonal changes. However, the relief is that by following some easy tips, you can also get relief from this problem.
What to do if you feel the need to urinate frequently at night?
Number 1- Reduce fluid intake in the evening
For this, doctors first recommend reducing the intake of liquids in the evening. Dr. Salim says, the intake of water, tea, coffee or other liquids should be reduced 2-3 hours before sleeping at night. Due to excess fluid entering the body, the bladder fills up quickly and there is a need to urinate frequently. Especially in the elderly, the functioning of the kidneys becomes more active at night, due to which more urine is produced. Therefore, it is important to keep the amount of water under control after the evening. If you feel very thirsty, then instead of drinking water all at once, drink water in small sips.
Number 2- Avoid these things
Caffeine (tea, coffee, cold drinks), alcohol and spicy food stimulate the bladder. This makes the bladder muscles more sensitive and there is a desire to urinate even after a small amount of urine is produced. These substances are also diuretics, which increases the amount of urine produced and then you have to get up again and again at night. In such a situation, doctors advise to reduce the intake of caffeine, alcohol and spicy food.
Number 3- Do bladder training
Bladder training is a technique in which one tries to wait for some time instead of going to the washroom immediately when the urge to urinate arises. This gradually increases the storage capacity of the bladder and reduces the habit of frequent urination. This habit is especially beneficial for those whose bladder has become weak or who have the problem of overactive bladder.
Number 4- Do Kegel Exercise
Ayurvedic doctors say that Kegel exercise is done to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles help in stopping and controlling urine. If these muscles become weak due to aging, pregnancy or any disease, then it becomes difficult to stop urine. By doing Kegel exercise regularly, the grip of the bladder becomes strong and the control of urine improves.
Number- Adopt natural home remedies
Apart from all this, doctors also recommend adopting some home remedies to get rid of this problem. Like-
- Drink coriander water- It reduces irritation and swelling of the bladder.
- Amla and Honey- It boosts immunity and also increases the strength of the bladder.
- Ashwagandha- Ashwagandha not only reduces stress but also strengthens the bladder muscles.
- Pomegranate peel powder – It tones the bladder and increases control.
- Asparagus Powder – It soothes the urinary tract and increases the ability to hold urine.
According to Dr. Salim Zaidi, there are many possible reasons behind the problem of frequent urination at night. However, by adopting these simple measures, this problem can be controlled to a great extent. If you still do not get relief, then definitely consult a doctor, so that the possibility of any serious disease can be avoided.
