Meghan Markle's previous complaints about royal life have been criticised by a royal commentator for not being "tasteful". The Duchess of Sussex, 44, gave an interview to Bloomberg just months ago where she spoke about being her authentic self.
She then complained that she felt "inauthentic" when she was a member of the Royal Family because she had to wear pantyhose, also known as nude tights. Speaking in the interview, she had said: "It was different several years ago when I couldn't be as vocal and I had to wear nude pantyhose (tights) all the time.
"Let's be honest, that was not very myself. That felt a little bit inauthentic."
A royal commentator has now said that talking about pantyhose is not necessarily a "tasteful" complaint when talking about her emotions during her time as a royal.
When speaking about how the Royal Family are more open than ever emotionally on commentator Samara Gill told Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson: "There are tasteful ways of doing it (sharing emotions).
"I probably wouldn't recommend the juxtaposition of Meghan going to Bloomberg and saying that it was really tough living in the Royal Family because she had to wear pantyhose."
This comment about pantyhose is not the only complaint Meghan has ever made about royal life.
The duchess has also complained in the past about the lack of support she received when she was struggling during life as a working royal.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan said: "It was only once we were married, everything started to worsen, that I came to understand that not only was I not being protected, they (the 'Institution') were willing to lie to protect other members of the family."
She also claimed in the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan that she could only wear certain clothing colours as to not outshine a more senior member of the Royal Family.
