The Strictly Come Dancing judges will be stepping out from behind the panel and onto the dancefloor for a special performance during Saturday night's first live show. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, used to delivering critiques, temporarily trade their judging seats for the spotlight in the ballroom as series 23 of the BBC show kicks off. The four and a half minute performance will feature Craig, 60, in four different costumes as he takes on the role of compere and DJ, guiding the audience through the decades, starting with the 1970s.
Anton kickstarts the performance with an upbeat and joyous performance from the 70s, dancing a lively Quickstep with Lauren Oakley to a big band rendition of In the Mood for Dancing. Joining the number as backing singers are Dianne Buswell, Neil Jones, and Karen Hauer. Australian dancer Dianne, 36, who was likely in the early stages of her pregnancy, looks sensational in flowing gold ensemble that highlights her blossoming baby bump.
Shirley takes centre stage moments later, transporting the audience to the 1980s. Commanding attention in a sparkly black cocktail dress, the head judge is twirled around the dancefloor Vito Coppola during the energetic Samba. The duo will perform to a sped-up version of The Champs' Tequila, while their performance features several other professional dancers.
Motsi's section is introduced by Craig, dressed in double denim and sporting frosted tips. Slowing things down for the 90s and 00s, Motsi performs an intense and dramatic Rumba with Johannes Radebe to Heart's power ballad Alone. Their raw and captivating performance is complemented by professional dancers Michelle Tsiakkas and newcomer Julian Caillon.
The four judges will come together with the professionals for the epic finale. They will perform to Sophie Ellis Bextor's iconic track, Murder on the Dance Floor concluding the 'Dance through the decades'. The 15 celebrity stars made their debut on the Strictly dancefloor during last week's launch show, where it was revealed who they would be performing with throughout the 2025 series.

Love Island winner Danni Dyer was forced to withdraw after fracturing her ankle just days before the live show.
"To say I'm heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on," the 29-year-old said.
It was announced on Friday that West End performer and fellow Love Island winner Amber Davies will take her place, making her debut in the first live show of the series.
On joining Strictly, Amber said: 'This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I've watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true.
"I'm going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud."
