Victoria Beckham admits she shares one thing in common with Meghan Markle

The former Spice Girl, 48, took to Instagram to share her love for The Midnight Library, the worldwide bestseller by Matt Haig. She posted a photo of the book alongside another favourite of hers, How to Stop Time, saying "I really enjoyed this book!! I just finished The Midnight Library, too."

The novel tells the story of Nora, a woman who, on the brink of death, is given the chance to undo her regrets by exploring alternate versions of her life. It's been praised as a "magical beam of light" and a thought-provoking read. It turns out Victoria isn't the only high-profile fan of Haig's work. has also raved about The Midnight Library and even mentioned it in her book club picks.

Alongside her husband, Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex has confessed that Haig's books, including Notes on a Nervous Planet, are favourites of theirs.

The Duchess of Sussex and the famous designer previously had a close bond at the start of Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry, with the attending their royal wedding in 2018. However, their relationship has since deteriorated, with reports suggesting the two women are no longer on speaking terms.

Kinsey Schofield, a royal commentator who has previously criticised the , claimed that Meghan and Victoria's falling out "boils down to jealousy". She said to : "Ultimately, I believe it was envy that caused the fallout.

Author Tom Bower claimed in his book House of Beckham that Meghan became enraged after The Sun published an article about her "growing friendship" with Victoria.
