Two days after Sunrisers Hyderabad outclassed Lucknow Super Giants in a high-scoring thriller, SRH captain Pat Cummins gave fans a wholesome moment to savour. On Tuesday, the franchise shared a video of Cummins casually boarding the team bus with a life-size cardboard cut-out of Mitchell Marsh , calling him “my man”.
The video, showed Cummins smiling and carrying the Marsh cut-out, placing it beside him on the bus. The Australian duo may have been on opposite sides during the IPL clash, but their bond off the field remained as strong as ever. The gesture quickly went viral, drawing praise for its humour and warmth.

The light moment followed SRH’s emphatic six-wicket win over LSG on May 19 in Lucknow, where Abhishek Sharma hammered a sensational 59 off 20 balls and Heinrich Klaasen chipped in with a composed 47. Chasing 206, SRH completed the first successful 200-plus run chase at the Ekana Stadium, finishing the match in just 18.2 overs.

Earlier, LSG rode on half-centuries from Marsh (65) and Aiden Markram (61) to post 205/7. But they lost momentum in the death overs, with debutant Harsh Dubey and Nitish Reddy impressing for SRH. Despite the explosive start, LSG lost three wickets in the final over and missed the chance to post a total closer to 220.
The defeat ended LSG’s hopes of making the playoffs, dropping them to seventh on the table with 10 points from 12 matches. SRH, with the win, climbed to ninth with nine points and stayed mathematically alive in the tournament.
While the playoffs remain a long shot for SRH, Cummins’ post-match moment with Marsh showed that camaraderie between mates often outlasts the fiercest cricketing battles.
