The Edmonton Oilers’ fans were already excited at the way the team defeated the Vegas Golden Knights at the second round of the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs but it seems like Evander Kane’s recent post has sparked chaos among fans.

Two years ago, the Edmonton Oilers had defeated the Vegas Golden Knight in Game 2 of the playoff series but things quickly became chaotic when Evander Kane got into a fight with Keegan Kolesar.
While the fight was broken up, a Vegas Golden Knights’ fan flipped him off and when Evander Kane approached the fan, he blew her a kiss.
This picture had gone viral in 2023 but ultimately the Vegas Golden Knights had won the playoff series two years back.
But now, since the Edmonton Oilers have defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in the playoff clash, Evander Kane reposted the viral picture with the Knights’ fan on 15th May and fans are here for it.
A fan commented, “This picture captures one of those beautiful moments between fans and players in Hockey. I love it when fans and players shit talk each other. Makes the sport one of the best environments.”
Another fan wrote, “This team had zero aura all season long and I can’t lie Kane has single handedly brought the aura back”, while a third fan commented, “You just have to love how belligerent this guy is.”
Another user joked, “Maybe the greatest photo of all time. Put it on the cover of Time”, while a fifth fan commented, “Iconic pic if you ask me.”
However, Evander Kane has still not issued a statement about his recent post.
After the win in Game 5, Connor McDavid spoke to the media and said, "There's probably a lot of people that thought it was gonna go longer than five & probably not a lot of people that thought we would win. It's nice to keep on rolling & proving people wrong”.
