In the high-octane clash, missing Edwards for the rest of the game would prove to be costly for the team, but thankfully, he made his return to the game.

There was under a minute remaining in the first quarter when Anthony Edwards drove through the lane and made contact with Thunder guard Alex Caruso, who was attempting to draw a charge. Edwards came down awkwardly, his right ankle rolling as he landed. He immediately grabbed his foot, and he was in discomfort.

ESPN cameras captured him exiting the court and not reappearing at the start of the second quarter. Given Edwards' history of foot and ankle issues earlier this postseason, the Timberwolves were staring down what looked like a possible game-changing injury.
Edwards was jogging back through the tunnel at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. He warmed up briefly on the sidelines, doing light footwork during a timeout. With 7:01 left in the first half, he checked back into the game.
He didn't seem hampered physically. Within minutes of returning, Edwards pulled down a defensive rebound and then facilitated an assist to Julius Randle.
